Job Description

DMS is seeking a talented and motivated Online Digital Learning Intern to join our dynamic team. As the Online Digital Learning Intern, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing our online learning platforms and content. You will collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and technical teams to create engaging and effective digital learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Content Development:
    • Design and develop interactive online courses, modules, and multimedia content using industry-standard authoring tools.
    • Adapt existing educational materials and resources for online delivery, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and best practices in online pedagogy.
    • Incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, simulations, and interactive assessments to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Platform Management:
    • Manage and maintain our learning management system (LMS) or digital learning platforms, including course setup, user enrollment, and troubleshooting technical issues.
    • Monitor platform usage and learner engagement metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
    • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in online education and recommend enhancements to our digital learning infrastructure.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct quality assurance checks on digital learning content to ensure accuracy, functionality, and accessibility for diverse learner populations.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on course content and delivery mechanisms based on learner needs and preferences.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to instructors, facilitators, and learners on using online learning tools and resources effectively.
    • Develop training materials, user guides, and tutorials to support self-directed learning and adoption of digital learning technologies.
  • Evaluation and Reporting:
    • Implement assessment strategies to measure the effectiveness and impact of online learning initiatives on learner performance and satisfaction.
    • Generate reports and analytics dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and inform data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience designing and developing online learning content using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of best practices in online pedagogy, instructional design principles, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to track learning outcomes and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities and technologies in the field of online education.
