DMS is currently seeking an Administrative Management Specialist. The Administrative Management Specialist
will independently deliver administrative and management support for a wide variety of command programs; coordinate with the subordinate commands, detachments, and learning sites; and perform other associated duties relative to the administration of an activity with eighteen (18) training locations. The Administrative Management Specialist works closely with other contractor, military, and government civilian managerial personnel and senior leadership at CENSECFOR Headquarters (HQ).
The Administrative Management Specialist must be familiar with applicable Navy rules, regulations, and other requirements as listed in the contract’s Performance Work Statement (PWS) and may be required to attend in-service training which is designed to update contractor personnel on Government rules, regulations, and other requirements.
The Administrative Management Specialist must:
Be a US Citizen.
Have no record of criminal convictions.
Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of experience in a Navy administrative environment or a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in a Navy or Marine Corps administrative environment.
At least five (5) years’ experience at an Executive Level within a Navy or Marine Corps administrative environment.
A thorough knowledge of the Navy and Marine Corps organizational and command structure.
Have the ability to obtain a Favorable Tier 3 Background Investigation.
Have the ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Have the ability to perform the duties expected of an Office Manager; exercising discretion and independent judgement with matters of significance related to the HQ Front Office.
Experience establishing work priorities and communicating effectively with staff inside and outside of a headquarters command.
Demonstrate experience handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks.
Demonstrate recent administrative, presentation, protocol and operations support experience within the last three (3) years.
Possess executive administration experience with high level event planning and coordination; itinerary development; and detailed knowledge of Navy protocol and military courtesies policy and regulations.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
The Administrative Management Specialist’s duties may include:
Drafting and preparing, in proper format, correspondence, directives and various forms for signature. Reviews same for spelling, typographical errors, and conformance to formats and procedural requirements.
Utilizing advanced and multiple word processing software processing to produce medical, scientific or technical documents and
Utilizes other electronic office support systems (i.e. desktop publishing, calendar, electronic mail, spreadsheets, or graphics) to support the HQ Front Office mission.
