Job Description

DMS International (DMS) is seeking a Special Materials Type Desk Analyst who will provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services for fleet sustainment programs.

The Special Materials Type Desk Analyst will utilize procurement history and out-year ship schedules, to provide a programmatic forecast report for recurring material and service requirements to facilitate planning across Military Sealift Command (MSC) platforms and life cycles. The report shall incorporate recommendations for employing process and material improvements. Based upon approved recommendations, prepare market research, performance work statements, and cost estimates for Government review/approval in support of MSC’s Program Objective memorandum (POM) cycle. The duties and attributes include:

  • Assisting in managing centrally managed stock in support of Antiterrorism Force Protection (AT/FP), Chemical, Biological, Radiological Defense (CBRD), Damage Control (DC), Military and Government (MED), and Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) programs.
  • Monitoring warehouse inventory for declining threshold levels and ensuring prompt restocks.
  • Identifying material shortages for all MSC customer vessels and allocating material accordingly.
  • Overseeing all customer inquiry responses, feedback reports, vessel configuration records, and program metrics for each respective program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a US Government Secret level clearance.
  • 6 years technical experience relevant to logistics systems and data management expertise executing ship acquisition and fleet sustainment support services utilizing MSC/Navy databases/systems such as Corrective Maintenance Logistics Systems (CMLS), Shipboard Consolidated Logistics Information Program (ShipCLIP), Relational Supply (R-Supply), Windows MSC Availability Support Program (WinMASP), or Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture CFE (CDMD-OA).
  • 5 years specialized experience in Pharmaceuticals or Chemical-Biological Defense Logistics.
  • Experience in developing metrics, pivot tables, graphs to support logistics Key Performance Indicators.
