Job Description

DMS is seeking a Graphic Artist to join our team. The ideal Graphic Artist candidate will have professional experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in print and digital media. This individual will be vital in creating visually compelling and engaging digital content for DoD leadership development programs, including web content design, multimedia presentations, digital materials, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, communications, and product development teams, to conceptualize and create visually appealing designs for various digital platforms.
  • Design and develop responsive, secure, accessible, and user-friendly web content, landing pages, and digital media that align with brand guidelines and enhance user experience.
  • Create multimedia assets, including videos, animations, interactive presentations, and infographics, to support learning seminars, multimedia training products, briefings, and internal communications.
  • Use instructional design software and authoring tools to create and deliver learning content, such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or similar platforms.
  • Translate creative concepts and ideas into polished design solutions that effectively communicate key messages and engage target audiences.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design, web design, and multimedia development.
  • Work closely with developers, content creators, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of design assets and functionality.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and compliance testing to ensure the accuracy, functionality, and performance of digital assets across various devices and browsers.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in graphic design, multimedia arts, web design, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a strong emphasis on web design and multimedia development.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as web design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
  • Expertise in using Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies, with experience designing for responsive and mobile-first environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, including websites, digital interfaces, multimedia presentations, and marketing collateral.
  • Excellent visual design skills, with a keen eye for typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
  • Solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practices, with the ability to create intuitive and user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, with a passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of design.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing projects and deadlines.
